5 Steps To Spend Less Time At Work

I know you love your business, and you love spending time building it up and working toward your vision. So do I.

But still, you are in it for the long haul, and you don’t want to burn out. As well, like me you want to build a successful business because you are driven to do it and, so that you can find that lifestyle balance to spend with your loved ones. That’s what it’s all about – building your successful business so that you have choices.

So one of those choices is how much time you spend at work. It’s not up to anyone else what’s right for you, but the chances are that however many hours you think is ideal to spend at work and still have that lifestyle choice, you are working more than that.

From my experience working with driven entrepreneurs building their successful businesses, there are 5 steps to take to spend less time at work, and make the time you spend effective.

Watch this week’s video to see what those 5 steps are and then read on.

So again, here are the 5 steps in summary:

  1. Realise what’s possible and aim for quality over quantity;
  2. Create time;
  3. Control your environment;
  4. Hire strategically; and
  5. Document your procedures and processes.

The video expands on these 5 simple steps that you can implement straight away, but in particular (once you have made up your mind that you can do it) ensuring that your business works on a series of documented procedures, flowcharts even, means that anyone can pick up a responsibility or task and follow the steps exactly the same as you would do if you were doing it. The document you use to record those steps will need to include quality measures, for example an instruction that “once you have completed step 5, check to see that the result is (within quality tolerance).”

Having documented procedures and expectations means that you can delegate effectively, and spend less time at work.

I will be writing and creating training in the future about how to systematise your business, so if you don’t want to miss that why don’t you go to my website at teikoh.com and get yourself on the mailing list. I will send you valuable AND FREE tools and systems on how to grow your business each week, that you can immediately implement for results.

Don’t worry, I hate being spammed so you can unsubscribe at any time, and I guarantee you that I will not provide your details to anyone else.

I’ll see you next week!
