This is why all marketing is about getting people to know about you, getting people to like what you are and stand for, and getting people to trust you and what you deliver.
You need to focus your marketing on your target market so that the people you really want to approach get to see news about you, get to see your brand and logo, and get to know who and where you are. You also need to design your products and business model so that you deliver what you promise, so that people trust your business.
But the best way to get people to like doing business with you is to make sure that you appreciate them and make them feel that their business relationship with you is appreciated. Thank them. Thank them sincerely.

So what are you waiting for? Get out there and build relationships!
Here’s your challenge:
- Apply the 80/20 rule and identify the 20% of your customers who provide 80% of your business
- Review each customer on that list and decide which of the 20 ways (use this week’s and last month’s lists) is most appropriate for each customer
- Take out your calendar and pick some time each week to reach out to at least 4 or 5 customers and really thank them for their business
- In four weeks’ time – repeat!
