SMART Marketing – 7 Easy Steps to More Sales – Part 2

Did you catch last week’s video training on Part 1 of how to use the SMART Marketing planning system? If not, get on to it here and catch up!

If you did, welcome back.

This week’s video training continues with steps 4 to 7 of the SMART Marketing system.

This week, we go through how to use your selling price as a factor in your marketing, how to identify the most appropriate marketing activities (not just advertising!) and prepare a targeted campaign, how to prepare action plans to carry out your strategies, and finally how to put it all together and make sure you follow through.

This is a 15 minute training video so I won’t take up too much of your time here – just watch it!

There you have it – if you want to know more, my book “SMART Marketing – 7 Easy Steps to More Sales” is available from Amazon if you click here. The book takes you through the 7 easy steps in a narrative form, and is packed full of detail how a real-life application takes place. It is accompanied by The SMART Marketing Workbook, available from Amazon also here, which gives you all the forms, questionnaires and templates you need to put the SMART Marketing system into place. The Workbook is laid out in 7 “workshops” for you and your team to participate just as if I were in the room guiding you all the way.

Now next week, I’m going to talk about what happens in a one-to-one engagement with someone. Despite the best marketing strategies, at some stage you have to go face to face and talk about your product, so I talk about a sure-fire way to do it and capture their attention.

Your Business Health Check

It’s still early in the new year, and I’ll bet one of your New Year resolutions was something to do with health – exercise more, eat better, diet, go to see your doctor for a health check?

Well I don’t know how well you have been keeping to your resolutions nearly three weeks into the new year, but why don’t you check your business in for a health check?

The website teikoh.com has free resources available for download and these include health checks or “audits” for your business. It would not be a waste of time to spend an hour or two going through these for your business. When I conduct these for my clients, I charge up to $2,000 a session. True, this come with my personal 30 years’ experience in business and my interpretation of diagnosis and medication, but you can at least spend some time to look over your own business to see what areas you will need to work on in 2016. Be Responsive to Your Customers

You’ve heard of the old adage “the customer is always right.”

Well, not always, or at least, not literally, but that’s the subject of another tale which I will tell you about later – how to tell them they are wrong, and still keep them as a customer.

However what the old adage does highlight is how important it is to listen to your customers so that you are on top of all kinds of feedback – good and bad – and be ready to respond.

Really great businesses have really great customer responsiveness. They know what their customers want and provide it to them, they understand customer frustration and provide solutions quickly.

SMART Marketing available on Amazon!

Hey, I thought I’d just let you know that my books, SMART Marketing, and The SMART Marketing Workbook, are available on Amazon.

The publishers have let me know that overall, sales have gone over 1,000!

If you haven’t got it yet, get over to Amazon and get yourself a copy of both books, they will revolutionise how you market your small business.

SMART Marketing is written as a novella, a story of how a husband & wife small business discovered that they could develop their own marketing plan and focused marketing strategies by following 7 simple steps.

Business is highly competitive these days, whether you sell on the web or in a bricks and mortar store. You need an edge. You need to specifically target those customers who are set up to buy from you, who (unknown to themselves) already need your product.

The SMART Marketing methodology has been compiled from my 35 years in advising small businesses how to cut through the garbage and get to the centre of the message and grow their sales. This is experience married to practical methodology that cannot fail!

What’s in it for YOU? You will learn how, in 7 easy to follow steps, you too can transform the sales and marketing of your business. You will see how to understand the benefits of your products that the customers want, you will see which customers you are wasting your time on and which customers you need to target for easily achievable sales. You will learn how to prioritise your marketing activities so that you get the BIGGEST bang for your buck.

All my clients have benefitted from this methodology – why don’t you?

You can buy it now by clicking on this link to get you over to Amazon:-

Once you have read SMART Marketing, you can start straight away and follow the step by step methodology detailed in the book. However, if you want guidance on how to implement each phase towards getting more focused marketing and attracting the right customer already set up to buy, get The SMART Marketing Workbook, which lays out the methodology in step by step workshop format. It’s as if I were in front of you facilitating each and every question. The Workbook is complete with templates that start by capturing your product information, and then funnel it through a series of filters to arrive at your focused marketing strategies and action plans.

What’s your competition?

If you are in business, you have to face competition.

There is no avoiding it. Your competition is the barrier to your growth.

It may not be a significant barrier, perhaps your competition is weak and doesn’t take too many of your potential customers away. Or it might be a big barrier and you have to compete every day for that new customer or to keep your existing customer.

Either way, I bet you are fighting your competition the wrong way.

Yup, I said it – it’s more than likely that what you are doing to win against the competition isn’t helping much!

Why? Because when most of us think about competing, we think about being better than them. If you were an athlete you’d try to be stronger or faster. In business, you try to be cheaper, or give a better service, or send out a more attractive message in your advertising.

All that we are trained to do is to beef up what we do.

However competition is not about a better product or better advertising. Competition is about who or what is influencing your customer. Read More
